Vancouver VINE
CCO Canada is looking for college age (and older) young adults to
give 8 months of their lives to serve Jesus Christ and His Church in the
New Evangelization on university campuses in the Vancouver area.
Can I ask you a few personal questions?
1. Is your love for Christ compelling you to do something concrete and generous for Him and His Church?
2. Do you desire to see people come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ? Do you long to see university students and college age adults experience the fullness of life and truth in the Catholic Church?
3. Have you ever had the desire to be a full-time missionary but weren't ready to make a life-long commitment?
If you said yes to these questions, then consider becoming a Volunteer In the New
Evangelization (VINE) with CCO in our exciting new Vancouver VINE program!
Imagine these awesome eight months ...
- Live in a household community of faith (and fun) with other VINE participants
- Receive excellent spiritual formation including training in evangelization and discipleship
- Lead small group faith studies on/off campus
- Organize large group meetings, retreats and conferences
- Reach university students and college-age adults through evangelistic events and faith building activities
- Gain valuable life-experience while living in one of the most beautiful cities in the world
- Experience a life-changing 8 months of service to Christ and His Church
Cost
Participants will need to raise $5200 for the year ($650/month). This can be raised in one-time
donations, through the monthly giving options available with CCO, or a combination of both.
All donations are tax deductible.
This cost will cover all training materials and monthly expenses such as rent, utilities, food,
bus pass, and a monthly stipend. Additional funds can be raised to cover your travel expenses
to and from Vancouver, as well as a short trip back home for Christmas.
Timeline
The VINE program is eight months long: from late August until late April. The year begins with training in Vancouver, B.C. and concludes after the spring semester has ended. Exact dates will be included in the official application form.
