On August 21, 2011 thousands of young Catholics will be gathered in Madrid, Spain for the 26th World Youth Day with our Holy Father to celebrate our faith.

Imagine yourself traveling with 40 other young people to visit sites in France, Spain and Portugal.  Consider the experience of meeting new people your age who are excited about their faith.  Consider how much you could give and receive in this experience.

The theme for our 4 week mission to World Youth Day 2011 is “Do whatever he tells you.” (John 2:5) This was the statement that Mary made to the servants at the wedding feast in Cana, referring to Jesus.  Look at what happened.  The servants responded in obedience to what Jesus told them to do and through this he performed his first miracle, changing water into wine.

In the same way we want to listen to what Jesus is telling us so that we can do great things through him.  The World Youth Day experience with CCO is unlike any other.  We will learn what it is like to have a missionary heart like that of Mary.  This mission will take you to World Youth Day with the zeal to do what Jesus tells you and great expectations of what he has in store for our lives and the lives around us!
