The vertical spokes of the wheel are Church & Sacraments and Prayer & Scripture. The horizontal spokes are Fellowship and Service.

The wheel has three components. The hub is the most important component. Without it, the wheel has no power. The spokes give strength to the wheel and transmit power from the hub to the rim. The rim is where the "rubber meets the road".

Like the hub, Jesus must always be at the center of our lives. Each spoke represents a different element of our faith. When all spokes are in place, our relationship is strong and well-rounded. When one or more spokes is broken or missing, our relationship can experience a bumpy ride. We must work to put all spokes solidly into place to keep our relationship moving forward.
